No Joke: Updates from Z3

Dear Friends,

If you have young mischievous kids like I do, April Fool’s is treated like a holiday!  This morning my kids replaced the toilet paper roll with a fake roll where the “toilet paper” doesn’t tear.  I suppose it beats the “cover the toilet bowl with saran wrap trick” they used last year!

Hope everyone is doing well as we enter Spring.  We have recently had a flurry of new activity and we thought we’d share our updates.  Referrals for new opportunities for us or potential candidates are greatly appreciated!

We launched our new website (z3talent.com) thanks to Marc Gutman at Wildstory in helping us on our brand story and Keith Roberts of Zenman for making us look great!

Here are the new assignments we are actively working on: 

  • COO: This is a crucial hire for a <$25M manufacturer of large agriculture capital equipment owned by 2 private equity firms who have retained us to find this #2 role. This company is the industry leader and based an hour North of Sacramento, California.

  • CEO: This is a critical hire for a long-standing, well-funded and visible nonprofit with a mission to serve neglected, abused and traumatized children.

  • President: This opportunity is with an established construction company with $250M+ in revenues in Colorado. The ownership group is searching for a growth minded executive to build out and professionalize their Austin office. This role will require an experienced construction executive with strong relationships in the Austin/San Antonio region.

  • VP Marketing: Reporting to the Chief Revenue Officer, this Australian owned sports performance technology company is searching for a VP Marketing.

  • CFO: This is a highly confidential search for an industrial business owned by a PE firm.

  • Business Process Manager: Reporting to the CFO of this Private Equity backed utilities construction business, this highly visible role will be responsible for analyzing and providing solutions to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness by streamlining business processes & workflow across all business units.

We are awaiting details on the following roles:

  • VP of Operations for a residential business built on a franchise model;

  • VP of Sales for a geohazard mitigation firm owned by one of the most respected PE firms in the world; and a

  • VP HR for an aggressively growing healthcare company backed by a local PE firm.

We just closed out these roles:

  • President and CEO of one of Denver’s oldest companies in the residential HVAC business.

  • Social Media Manager for a Denver based publicly traded CPG company.

  • COO (Integrator) for an aggressively growing highway construction business.
