COVID and Human Connection

Covid has reminded us how important human connection is….

Shout out to the team at Raise the Future for all their great work helping foster kids find “one caring adult”.  When CEO Lauren Arnold was asked how Covid was impacting kids, she responded like the servant leader she is wisely commenting, “ Covid has reminded us how important human connection is. Imagine kids who have been removed from all their connections and now prevented from forming new ones.”.  So heartbreaking.  

Fair Health reported that mental health insurance claims for children nearly doubled in March and April of 2020 over the prior year while medical claims decreased significantly the during the period. That trend has continued.

Remember to continue to support your nonprofits especially those serving kids.
